Paint the town orange-red

sakuraHello there, how is your week coming along so far? My last day off saw me boarding a train to next-door Kyoto to take in the last cherry blossoms of the season. I find myself marveling at how stunningly beautiful Japan is, especially during this time of the year. You cannot help but feel like you are wandering around in a postcard. Or one of those “Best Nature Scenery” calendars :D wishesThe day saw me (finally) making my way to the Fushimi Inari-taisha, a shrine dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of agriculture and industry. The tunnels of thousands of striking vermilion torii (gates) leading up to the main shrine is one of the best well-known sights of Japan.KyotoPicture 093Picture 090Fushimi inariKyoto sightslace blouse
Thank you D for being a such a valiant photographer ( “wait, there are people behind you- OK, NOW! No, wait..”). It takes some mean ninja skills ( and a whole lot of patience) to make it look like we weren’t being mobbed by tourists left, right and centre :D

Thank you for coming along for the trip with me. I plan to do another spot of traveling soon, and can’t wait to share the experience with you. Good luck for the rest of the week! xo

Trench : ZARA,  Jeans, chambray shirt, boots : UNIQLO, lace blouse : some random store, pendant : Bali, bag : thrifted.
